Graduate Institute Events

Saint John's College graduate students

We're thrilled that you'd like to learn more about the St. John's College Graduate Institute!

We have several different options available to you as you explore.  Please take a look at the calendar below and choose what works best for you - we have both in-person and virtual options available.

In-Person Campus Visits with a Class Observation are on-campus and in-person opportunities to meet with a representative from the Graduate Institute, take a campus tour, and sit in on 1-2 classes to see the classroom in action.

Health and Wellness COVID Policy
To protect the health and wellness of the community, all students, faculty, staff, and visitors are required to wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth while indoors. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID at the time of your visit, please refrain from visiting, and we will be happy to reschedule for another time.

All classes at St. John’s are small seminar-style discussions where social distancing is not possible. As a result, the college takes extra precautions in the classroom and requires that students and faculty be vaccinated or test negative for COVID. For visitors who wish to observe classes, when you arrive on campus you will be asked to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result from within the previous 72 hours.

Virtual Appointments are 1 on 1 video conversations about the corresponding program with the Associate Director, and are a great way to get to know the program initially and to ask any questions that you may have.

Virtual Class Observations are available for Annapolis and Santa Fe, Liberal Arts and Eastern Classics – check out the class offerings by searching through the calendar to the right.

The option to speak with current students or faculty is available upon request.

If none of the listed times will work for your schedule, please reach out to Ryan Johnson or Susan Olmsted to schedule an alternative option.
