Dean's Saturday Seminar

Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM until 2:30 PMMountain Daylight Time UTC -06:00

A Saturday Seminar is an hour and a half long virtual event that is led by a current faculty member and a current student. It is a great opportunity to join an interactive St. John's seminar and explore great works for yourself! You will engage in dialogue with other students who are just as interested in deep questions and thoughtful discussion as you are.

This session will focus on several poems (listed below) by Rita Dove, LINKED HERE.
  • The Fish in the Stone
  • The Ants of Argos
  • Pithos
  • Nestor's Bathtub
  • Primer for the Nuclear Age
  • Parsley

In the past, we've done seminars on poetry by Sappho and Robert Frost, sonnets by William Shakespeare, short stories by Anton Chekhov, and much more.
Unfortunately, we have to cancel our seminar on Saturday, May 13th. Please look at our list of upcoming events, especially the book clubs. Please join us and some of your future classmates for one of these: https://www.sjc.edu/admissions-and-aid/undergraduate/admitted-students/admitted-student-events
