Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM until 5:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

Our Method

As with all instruction at St. John’s, the Teachers Institute explores readings from original texts with all classes as seminar-style discussions. Our esteemed St. John’s faculty lead our classes, all of which have fewer than 20 students and exciting, interactive conversations.

This session will focus on James Baldwin's "Why I Stopped Hating Shakespeare", LINKED HERE.

The Teachers Institute is part of St. John’s Graduate Institute, which has a long history of preparing teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In particular, the Graduate Institute offers the Master of Arts in Liberal Arts, the Master of Arts in Eastern Classics, and the Liberal Arts Education Certificate, which is specifically designed for teachers. In addition, generous scholarships are available for educators.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
